After receiving his B.S. in Construction Science and Management from Kansas State University, Tim joined EMC in 2002, was named Lead Estimator in 2009, and Chief Estimator in 2013.
He oversees the estimating and procurement of all of our projects and is actively involved in all estimates from start to finish, completing take off, bid preparation, budgeting and complex GMP costing that precisely clarifies scope. He reviews the overall project schedule, identifies long lead items and looks for opportunities to shorten the overall project timeline.
In addition to plan and spec work he coordinates with engineers to provide conceptual HVAC design estimates for design/build projects. While compiling estimates his goal is to always identify potential value engineering and cost saving ideas.
Tim is committed to exceeding our customer’s expectations by understanding project requirements, delivering a clear scope of work and always providing an open line of communication.
He coordinates pre-bid with engineers, subcontractors, equipment suppliers, general contractors and owners on a daily basis, in order to provide complete and accurate estimates that complete all scope requirements.
In addition, he assures compliance of ductwork and hydronic piping take-offs and assists project managers at job turnovers and throughout the construction phase.
Tim is on the SMACNA-KC Young Executive Committee and he is a member of MCA-KC's Young Professionals group.
