Director of Construction Operations
With over 15 years in the industry and a positive, a can-do personality, Marcus has hands-on experience in just about every type of mechanical project there is and his passion is sharing this knowledge and assuring EMC’s position as one of the best mechanical contractors in the area.
During his career he has been involved with projects in a wide variety of industries, including medical, biomedical, water/waste water plants, industrial, energy and heavy commercial, and with mechanical costs ranging from $10,000 to $55,000,000.
He has extensive pre-construction experience, including conceptual project estimates, budget versus design cost control, value engineering & interdisciplinary coordination.
Reporting directly to the President of the company, Marcus is responsible for total company operations, overseeing project acquisition, and marketing, pre-construction services and estimating.
He is also closely involved in the design-build aspects of the business, dealing directly with contractors and clients.
Additional responsibilities include project management, providing executive leadership and overseeing quality of work, material procurement, budget analysis and close out for ground-up, renovation and tenant finish projects.
Marcus holds a B.A. Construction Science & Management from Kansas State University, is an IGSHPA Accredited and NATE Certified geothermal heat pump installer, and is LEED AP Certified.
In addition, he is OSHA 30 Hour Certified and and holds Triatek Air Valve certification.
