Gene Darby brings to the table 24 years of experience in almost every aspect the sheetmetal and HVAC industry. In those years he has built lasting relationships with customers, engineers, general contractors, vendors, and most importantly the workers in the shop and field that have the skills to make a company efficient and profitable.
His goal is to continue to build on those relationships and expand his knowledge of the industry in an effort to stay relevant and increase profitability.
As Vice President of Sheet Metal Operations, Gene oversees all of the operations that take place in the field, fab shop, detailing department, and warehouse.
Responsibilities include estimating, project management, payroll verification, oversight of the company safety program, hiring of personnel, purchasing of major equipment, inventory control and oversight of building maintenance.
Gene has been with Environmental Mechanical Contractors since 1989. He is LEED AP Certified, BD + C and certified in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD).
